Joined Northern Telecom Ltd.in 1976 as Manager, Global Product Support. Promoted through marketing and communications groups to Vice President, Marketing. Previous positions included Vice President, Market Development, Business and Residential Services, and Vice President, Public Relations.
Du Pont Company (U.S. 1969 - 1971 & Canada 1973 - 1976)
For Du Pont (U. S.), developed marketing, sales, and distributor programs for polymer intermediates and industrial chemicals. For Du Pont Canada, served as special assistant to the Chairman for public policy issues and investor relations.
U.S. Department of Transportation (1972)
On leave from Du Pont, helped develop a major consumer education campaign which created significant public awareness about highway safety issues. Included extensive market research activity.
